What does your business do? Café / Coffee shop

What are your main products/services? We offer espresso drinks and other beverages, breakfast, in house baked goods, freshly made soups, salads and sandwiches. Our menu items are scratch made and locally sourced when available. Go here to view our current menu. There will be rotating and seasonal menu items offered as well to what is listed.

What necessity or desire do you satisfy for your customers? Local spot to get good coffee and scratch made food.

What inspired you to start your business? We already have a catering business at the same location and wanted other options to get a good cup of coffee in the neighborhood and to provide a local hangout for the community. So, we decided to convert one end of the building of our catering kitchen into a café.

What makes your business different or unique compared to your competitors? Most restaurants along MLK offer ethnic cuisine with exception of a few. We have a contemporary flair and vibe. We offer breakfast, in-house baked goods, freshly made soups, salads, sandwiches as well as espresso drinks, drip coffee, and other beverages including beer and wine.

What do you like most about what you do? Servicing the community and meeting people that live in the neighborhood and hearing their stories.

Do you have any special news, deals or events to promote in the year ahead? Participating in the Plate of Nations in March

Do you have any future plans for growth or expansion that you can share with us? Outdoor seating in warmer weather. We would also like to do wine tasting/pairing events when it gets a little warmer and will probably have the first one in the spring.

What is the most important thing you want people to know about you/your business? We are proud to be a part of the most diverse neighborhood in the United States and look forward to serving the community, meeting our neighbors and welcome trivial conversation.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself or your business? Come get a fresh-made meal for under $10!

  1. What is parking like? I cannot walk far. I would love a nearby coffe shop to hang in from time to time.

  2. There are 2 parking spots in the parking lot in front of the cafe and usually a spot can be found fairly close along Orcas St.
