1. Posing Beauty in African American Culture
You’re posing for the camera. How do you want to be seen? Distinguished. Thoughtful. Stylish. Outrageous. Celebratory. Proud. In Posing Beauty, a century of photographs by a wide range of image-makers—photojournalists, artists, men, and women—explore beauty and highlight how we see ourselves and are seen by others. 2. See a Movie at Ark Lodge Cinemas

3. Walk Away Day Festival
Walk Away Day will bring youth across the city together to make a decision to let go of something negative in their lives. The effort will start with a rally and walk, and end with a festival at Genesee Park, including resource fair and fun prizes from 12-5 pm. Genesee

4. Hood Famous Pop-Up Bakeshop
Dessert pop-up shop at The Station on Beacon Hill from 11 am to 5 pm, including ube (purple yam) classics (cheesecake, marshmallows and crinkle cookies) and a sweet surprise addition to the menu. Yum! Beacon Hill


5. Bicycle Sunday
One of South Seattle’s most beloved traditions, Bicycle Sunday is an opportunity to bike or walk along Lake Washington Boulevard south of Mount Baker Beach to the entrance to Seward Park sans motorized traffic from 10 am to 6 pm on 14 different Sundays this spring and summer (find full list here). 6. The Indigo Room Summer Jazz Concert Series
