1. Wine Tasting
Start the weekend off early with “more wine, less attitude” in historic Columbia City, where Vino Verité is hosting its weekly wine tasting. Columbia City


2. “Finding Dory” Premiere
Grab the kids (or not) and head down to your favorite neighborhood cinema for the long-awaited return of everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang. Columbia City

3. Yoga Night Out
This event is like a mini open house gathering of neighbors who find something in common through the practice of yoga. Music, fun for the little ones, healthy snacks and of course yoga movement. Hillman City


4. Rock and Roll Marathon
A Signature Seafair Event celebrating its 8th year, this race takes thousands of runners on a scenic tour of Seattle, including the Lake Washington/Seward Park area with marathon and half marathon courses lined with local bands. Mount Baker, Genesee

5. Block Party at the Station
This annual hip-hop music and arts festival celebrates South Seattle’s diverse creative community like no other. Hosted by The Station in partnership with Beacon Arts and Got Green, and sponsored by local businesses, it’s free, all ages and open to everyone. Fine artist line-up here. Beacon Hill

6. Summer Art Uprising

7. Deadhorse Canyon Restoration
One of the best kept secret natural area in Seattle, the 39-acre Deadhorse Canyon ecosystem services needs your help! Join a work party to remove invasive plants like ivy and blackberry. Rainier Beach

8. Seattle Works Day
One day. 50 nonprofits. 1,000 volunteers. 1 after party. Several options throughout South Seattle and the rest of the city. Various neighborhoods


9. HONK! Fest West
This free, 3-day, family-friendly festival hits three locations throughout the Seattle area, including the intersection of 35th Avenue South and South Ferdinand Street in Columbia City. You’ll also be able to watch street band films like Brasslands for free at Columbia City’s Ark Lodge Cinemas. Columbia City

10. Bicycle Sunday
Bike or walk along Lake Washington Boulevard south of Mount Baker Beach to the entrance to Seward Park without motorized traffic. Glorious. Seward Park to Mount Baker
