Southeast Seattle Tool Library Opens Its Doors

Southeast Seattle Tool Library Opens Its Doors

On Sat., April 18, the community is invited to visit the Southeast Seattle Tool Library to donate and borrow tools from 10 am to 2 pm.

The library also plans to purchase additional tools through a Neighborhood Matching Fund Small & Simple grant awarded last fall.

“What kinds of tools could you use?” asks founder Sally Bailey. “Please chime in with the tools you need for your spring projects.”

Go here to join. While the Tool Library is free to use, voluntary donations are a crucial part of keeping the collection well maintained and library open and running smoothly. Recommended  levels are $50 for the general public, $35 for students and seniors and $25 for low-income members.

No proof of income or age is required and no qualified applicants will be turned away due to lack of ability to make a recommended donation. Deposits may be required for some tools to encourage their prompt return.
